MEMBER TESTIMONIALS

Every time I reach out for something I need help with, the Collin-Fannin County Medical Society (CFCMS) always responds. Sometimes I get the answer I want, other times it’s not what I want to hear, but the society is always straight and looking out for my interests. Supporting the only industry that supports me and my practice is a no brainer. All physicians should feel compelled to contribute by being a member of their local society. You either give of your money by supporting the society in general as well as the society’s legislative efforts, or you give of your time by serving in some capacity within the society, or you give both. The member benefits offered by the society are icing on the cake.
I have been a member of the Collin-Fannin County Medical Society (CFCMS) since my first year in practice. The tangible benefits of membership go without saying. It’s the intangibles that make the society what it really is to its members. The camaraderie, the social and networking aspects and educational opportunities are placed right in front of the membership. All that is required is to show up. It has been an honor to serve as a member, the board and now as its President. I look forward to arena of medicine and being a part of it this year and many more years to come.
Without the help of the Collin-Fannin County Medical Society (CFCMS), I would not have been able to maintain my practice over the last few years. If there was ever a time where (to use an old-coined phrase) membership 'has its privileges’…it’s now. Since Covid (but really before) that drastic changes to the practice of medicine have been extremely tough, as you know. Supporting my local county medical society and the TMA has always given me a sense of relief and pride. These two organizations have shown they also give me...representation, knowledge, security, social interaction with my peers and multiple member benefits…I thought the advent of our own Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) for all things related to the practice of medicine and the business of medicine at such outstanding rates was the best thing ever offered to the membership, but now, we have a group 401(K) plan, complimentary wellness visits and job postings, as well as and an avenue to capture lost revenue from insurance.
Joining CFCMS has given me many opportunities to connect with like-minded physicians. My practice has saved thousands of dollars through their innovative Group Purchasing Order program. I highly recommend CFCMS to any new physicians moving to Collin County area!
