The state physician community was once again called into the state capital of Texas on the first Tuesday of each month to lobby the state legislature on a variety of opposition and supportive legislative measures before the Texas Senate and House of Representatives and their respective committees. The CFCMS leased a leisure bus to take physicians from Plano to Austin in order to get in and get out in one day. Taking the time away from the office to lobby for your industry is incredibly important, and, it takes time and effort. Your CFCMS, each year, attempts to make that effort a bit easier by coordinating a bus trip each April, when the legislature is in session during odd-numbered years.
